RAW JACKFRUIT BIRYANI

Raw jackfruit is was one of  most famous and has been used in our diet for a long time. Now we will make in south Indian famous raw jackfruit biryani. I will show step by step simple method. Once you are cooked and eaten it and never forget its taste


Raw jackfruit recipe


Ingredients for Raw Jackfruit Biryani

·        ½ kg Rice

·        200 ml Oil

·        ½ kg Raw jackfruit

·        1 Cup packed fresh mint

·        1 Cup fresh coriander leaves

·        150 gm Onion

·        150 gm Tomato

·        2 Ginger Garlic Paste   

·        2 Green chilli

·        ½ Lemon Juice

·        2 Bay leaf

·        2 Cinnamon

·        2 Cardamom

·        1 Star anise

·        3 Cloves

·        ½ Cup curd

·        1 tsp Coriander Powder

·        1 tsp Red Chilli powder

·        ¼ tsp Turmeric powder

·        1 tsp Biryani masala

How to make Raw Jackfruit Biryani

                  1)    Pour the water into a bowl and soak the rice to ½  hour

2)    Cut the Raw jackfruit into small cubes

3)    Add oil in the frying pan. When the oil is hot, add the jackfruit and fry with low flame.  No need to deep fry. Take if off when it turns light golden in a bowl

4)    Fry the sliced onion in the same oil. Fry the onion till they turn deep red colour. Then take the onion in a bowl and turn off the stove when the fry in deep red colour. Retain the oil used for frying the onion

5)    Add in the bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, cloves,mint, coriander leaves, tomato, ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli, curd, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fried jackfruit, fried onion to that oil. mix well and soak for 30 minutes

6)    Add rice and 2 cup of water in a cooker and keep the rice until 1 whistle comes.

7)    Fry the jackfruit mixture on low flame for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell goes

8)    Add ½ cup of water, salte, lemon juice and then boil 2 minutes with low flame. Remove from flame

9)    Take the cooker. In it take a little jackfruit gravy and spread it on the first layer. Then add a little steamed rice to the next layer

10) Layer the rice and gravy one by one like this then close the cooker, put the   whistle and cook 5 minutes with low flame. No need to come whistle

v Serve the delicious Raw Jackfruit Briyani


 Note : Take the rice aside and serve without stirring
